Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing and other assigned team members, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for all of the office and clerical duties needed to provide professional office services.
Composes types and distributes routine correspondence, reports and meeting notes.
Greets visitors and handles their inquiries, and directs them to appropriate team members according to their needs.
Operates office equipment such as fax machine, copier, and phone system, and uses a computer for word processing, spreadsheets and other software applications.
Completes forms in accordance with company policies.
Answers the telephone and provides information to callers, takes messages, or transfers calls to appropriate team members.
Schedules appointments and confirms appointments for clients, customers and colleagues. Arranges meetings, conference calls and handles travel arrangements and reservations. Maintains the plant’s schedule and events calendar.
Orders and dispenses office and plant administrative supplies.
Collects and distributes funds from the petty cash account and keeps records of collections and disbursements.
Sets up and maintains filing systems (paper and electronic) for the plant’s records, correspondence, and other pertinent information.
Opens, reads, routes, and distributes incoming mail and other office material and responds to routine correspondence.

Personal Computers and Office Equipment- Experienced with different PC systems and Windows based software applications and their related programs. And also familiar with how to operate standard office equipment including fax machine and copier.
Telecommunications- Knowledge of the controls and the operation of office related telecommunications systems.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required. Prefer an Associates of Science or Associates of Arts Degree or Certificate from an Accredited Administrative Assistant/Secretarial Program. Require seven (7) plus years of related experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
